The first domestic railway large-diameter earth pressure/TBM dual-mode roadheader successfully completed the mode conversion

Recently, the first domestically-made large-diameter earth pressure/TBM dual-mode roadheader "Chuangxin No. 1" completed earth pressure/TBM from Dayuan Station to Taihe Station on the Guangzhou-Foshan Intercity Railway in the Pearl River Delta, which was constructed by China Railway 19th Bureau Group. Online mode conversion, this is the first time that this type of shield machine in China has performed mode conversion in the tunnel.


The third work area of the 2nd bid of the Pearl River Delta Intercity Guangfo Ring project undertaken by the China Railway 19th Bureau Group is the control project of this bid section and the construction area of the first domestic earth pressure/TBM double-mode large shield. The interval is about 6,144 meters, with large excavation section,complex hydrogeological conditions, high compressive strength of the rock passing through the strata, large burial depth, and long excavation distance. Especially in the long-distance excavation of moderately weathered gneiss, the rock has high compressive strength and average 65-155 MPa.


After the mode conversion, "Chuangxin No. 1" continues to excavate vigorously, and the section shield construction will be more efficient. The online soil pressure/TBM dual-mode conversion has laid a solid foundation for the subsequent mode conversion of the same type of dual-mode shield machine, and has accumulated valuable experience. It is also the construction technology of China Railway Construction Heavy Industry in the Guangzhou-Foshan Ring Road. Another innovative breakthrough.
